How it works, and who pays us.

Short answers to the questions we would ask in your place.

Updated 30 September 2026

What does it cost to ask for quotes?
Nothing. The request is free and carries no obligation. You never pay Minho Solar anything, whether or not you sign with an installer.
Who pays Minho Solar?
Installers. They pay €150 + IVA when a customer we sent them signs a contract. We invoice on the date of signature. If the customer does not sign, the installer pays nothing.
Does the amount change with the size of the system?
No. It is the same fixed amount for every installer and every system. Minho Solar earns no more when a system is bigger or dearer, so we have no reason to push extra panels.
Can an installer pay to be listed first?
No. There are no paid places and no paid prominence. We choose installers by the area they work in and by the criteria published on this page.
Which installers receive my request?
Installers who meet the criteria below and work in your area, up to the number you choose: one, two or three. When we send your request, we tell you by email who it went to.
What if there are no installers in my area?
The network is still small. If no installer who meets the criteria works in your area, we tell you by email and send your request to no one.
Who installs, and who gives the warranty?
The installer you choose. The contract, the work and the warranty are between you and the installer. Minho Solar does not install and is not a party to the contract.
Does Minho Solar sell anything else?
Yes. A paid report on your house, the Blueprint, from €45, and a dashboard with tools for account holders. Both are optional and you do not need them to ask for quotes.
What happens to my data?
We keep your request to handle it. We only send it to installers after you give permission at the end of the form, and only to as many installers as you chose. You can withdraw permission at any time by email.
Who is behind Minho Solar?
Minho Solar is a trading name of Vividlogic Software International, Unipessoal Lda, NIF 519248155, registered in Ponte de Lima. The full company details have their own page.

The criteria, in writing

  • Proof that they are a recognised installation company or responsible technician, with the number, as ERSE asks owners to check.
  • Current public liability insurance.
  • A written quote with the four numbers.
  • A written installation warranty that states its term.
  • First contact with you within two working days.

What we do not do

  • We do not install or sell equipment.
  • We do not guarantee the work. The contract and the warranty are the installer's.
  • Our installer network is still small. In some areas you may get fewer than three quotes, or none. If so, we tell you by email.
  • We have no customer reviews to show yet. That is why we publish the criteria instead.
