About us
Minho Solar is a service that compares quotes from solar installers. It is a trading name of Vividlogic Software International, Unipessoal Lda, a Portuguese company registered in Ponte de Lima. That is where the name comes from: the service started in the Minho, and its tools and municipality pages now cover all 308 in the country.
What we do
We ask installers for quotes for you
You answer twelve questions about the house. We send your request to up to three installers who meet our criteria and work in your area, and ask each of them for the same format, so you can compare side by side.
We publish the numbers, with their sources
The guides and tools are free and need no account. Every price, yield and rate they use says where it comes from: the European Commission's PVGIS, Eurostat, ADENE and DGEG, ERSE, the Direção-Geral do Território.
We prepare a report, if you want one
The Blueprint, from €45, sizes a system for your home and your consumption. It is optional and you do not need it to ask for quotes.
Who pays us
Installers. They pay €150 + IVA when a customer we sent them signs a contract, the same amount for any system. We earn no more when a system is bigger. Asking for quotes costs you nothing.
What we do not do
- We do not install or sell equipment.
- We do not guarantee the work. The contract and the warranty are the installer's.
- Our installer network is still small. In some areas you may get fewer than three quotes, or none. If so, we tell you by email.
- We have no customer reviews to show yet. That is why we publish the criteria instead.
