Most solar advisors and installers in Portugal operate only in Portuguese. Minho Solar advises entirely in English, because that is how we live here ourselves.
English speaking solar advisor in Portugal: Minho Solar is an advisory run by English speaking homeowners in the Ponte de Lima area. We are not a call centre or a translation service bolted onto a sales operation. We work in English because that is how we communicate ourselves, and because the expats who need honest solar advice in Northern Portugal deserve it in a language they can actually understand.
How the Blueprint works
You pay a flat fee for a written analysis of your property: recommended system size, a realistic cost range for Northern Portugal, and an honest battery recommendation for your specific usage pattern. Once your Blueprint is ready, we put you in touch with two or three installers for your specific project. You contact and pay installers directly for their work.

Two or three installer names matched to your project. You contact them directly, and you pay them directly for their work.
DGEG and paperwork in plain English
The DGEG registration process is entirely in Portuguese and takes 30 to 90 days. We explain every step and confirm who handles what, so you do not arrive at the end of an installation only to find you are responsible for the registration yourself.
We are based in the Ponte de Lima area of the Alto Minho, not a remote operation with a Portuguese address. We know the local installers, we know the irradiance conditions in this part of the country, and we have been through the DGEG process ourselves. If you are buying a property or already living in Braga, Viana do Castelo, Barcelos, Guimarães, or anywhere in the wider Minho region, that local knowledge is part of what you get.
